Oh, Shepherd, how You care for us!
You lead and tend and shelter us.
And we do not lack anything
For You are our eternal king.
–
Chorus:
We are Yours! We lift one voice
to honor, love, and to rejoice!
Take our hearts, and guard, and keep,
Oh, loving Shepherd of Your sheep!
–
We, Your sheep, had gone astray
betrayed by lust to our own way,
wounded by the wolves of sin—
lost and hopeless and condemned.
–
You have given us Your grace—
laid down your life to take our place.
You rose triumphant o’er the grave—
Our living Shepherd, strong to save!
–
Teach us, Lord, to know Your voice,
to follow You—the only choice.
Satisfy us with Your love,
and set our hearts on things above.
–
Lord, we never have to fear
for, You our God, are always near.
Stop our footsteps when we roam,
and lead us gently, safely home
.
